"Beautiful setting, a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere. The open air (under roof) kitchen, eating area and living room all overlook the pool area and beautiful tropical landscaping.
The sound of the nearby river flowing is very soothing.
It is fully equipped with everything you'll need in the kitchen, including nice cookware, utensils, dishes and glasses.
There's also a washer and dryer. She thought of everything you'll need to have a enjoyable stay!
Rita is a great host, she provided great communication before and during the stay. Very close by and very responsive, but never intrusive. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND RENTING THIS 5 STAR VILLA!" Mark

Rita was without a doubt the best host we ever had. After a less-than-great experience elsewhere, we felt like we’d landed in paradise the moment we arrived.
From the heavenly, exotic garden to the clean and cozy rooms, everything felt nourishing and peaceful.
We felt truly welcomed at all times. Rita even brought us her delicious, freshly baked bread—it tasted exquisite and was such a thoughtful touch. But honestly, it was so much more than that.
Rita is truly one of a kind, with a big heart and so much genuine love for what she does. She didn’t just host us—she cared for us, gave us local tips, and made us feel like family. She became a friend, and her Airbnb became a home.
We were genuinely sad to leave and will hold our memories of this stay close to our hearts always.
For anyone looking for a clean, exotic, and truly magical Airbnb on Costa Rica’s Pacific coast, Rita’s guesthouse should be your first choice.

We stayed 5 weeks at Rita's Guesthouse and we enjoyed every day spent in this beautiful place!
Rita and Bill thought of everything so you feel like home : furnishing, kitchen basics, complete dish set with many pots, ustensils and and tools, linens and towels and extra fans!
The nights were comfortable, even without air conditionning.
The neighborhood is calm, we felt in symbiosis with nature. The lansdcaping colors and variety adds to the joyful birds singing all day long!
Rita and Bill are people with a great sense of hospitality who take care of their property and the people living at their place.

We stayed here for 10 days over the holidays, and if you are looking for a jungle oasis off the beaten track, this is your heaven! The best of Costa Rican nature is at your fingertips, with complete privacy from both the homeowners and neighbours. The amenities of the guesthouse are thoughtfully designed and extremely comfortable. Where else can you go from breakfast table to personal pool in under 10 seconds? Starting our day off with the sounds of jungle birds, a beautiful sunrise and a freshly plucked coconut to drink from, was beautifully memorable. And our 10 and 13 year olds appreciated the internet connection, lol! We had a most restful and enjoyable experience.

We had a fabulous time staying at the house. Perfect for our two couples. Fresh limes and bananas to eat, the chickens were a very nice addition to see, and the pool was a treasure!
Quiet and private with various wildlife to hear and see at all times of the day. It was close enough to the various things to do in the area and it was never a long drive down the hill to the beach or to the local market and added to the adventure.
A very comfortable and relaxing place for us on our first visit to Costa Rica.
Rita and Bill were fabulous hosts! Thank you Rita and Bill, and we look forward to our next visit. 😊

We stayed here for 3 months (sept - nov) and had an amazing time discovering Ojochal and its beautiful surroundings.
In the beginning I was quite worried about the "open" kitchen and living room concerning bugs but to my surprise the bugs were just virtually absent... (and those few that were there well, the amazing gecko's took care of those! ;) )
We have rented places before in CR where we INSIDE of the closed house with windows with screens had MORE bugs...!!!
(I have used DEET only 2 times in those 3 months and that was only the moment after the garden crew did their work)
The kitchen has all you can wish for and the pool is amazing to cool down and just relax and enjoy, also the internet was functioning very well!!
Thanks to Rita for all her help with our questions during our stay, her knowledge about the area and CR is also gold.
Would stay here again for sure!!!

Staying at Rita’s Guest House in a beautiful jungle setting was a delightful experience! The open kitchen with the inviting living space, creates a bright and warm atmosphere. The stunning jungle views, access to fresh fruits from mature trees, and a refreshing pool made it a relaxing and enjoyable retreat. The amount of birds on the property was stunning! The gracious owners and the friendly neighbors added a welcoming touch to the overall experience. Would definitely stay here again!

We were fortunate to spend three months at Rita’s Guest House. We had an amazing time, and we couldn’t have asked for anything more. The location is great only a few minutes to Ojochal for some great restaurants, grocery stores and beaches. Yet, the house itself is so peaceful and surrounded by beautiful gardens in the jungle.
The guest house has everything that you need from a fully equipped kitchen, dining table, sitting area and 2 very comfortable bedrooms each with a full bathroom and a private pool.
When not at the beach or waterfalls or exploring we spent hours watching amazing birds (60+different species) and monkeys right from the pool deck.
Rita and Bill couldn’t have been better hosts as they were always available to answer any questions, share fresh lemons, bananas, fresh free range eggs and offer really great local knowledge. Thanks again for sharing your amazing space!

Rita’s Guest House is the perfect place for a prolonged stay in CR. Rita and her partner Bill, were incredibly helpful at virtually every turn, from helping us navigate the best spots in the area, to helping handle whatever fixes popped up around the house.
Their place in Ojochal is near a local market, salon, and great restaurants like Sud & Cafe Pancito. It’s set up where you can get to anything you need easily, while feeling like you are free from absolutely anything touristy - a must for my girlfriend and I. They have a beautiful clear river called Rio Tortuga, maybe 5 minutes down the road, that is perfect for floating and sunbathing.
That, and Tortuga Beach about 10 minutes down the road, has some of the most beautiful beachfront we saw during our time in Costa Rica, at low tide the thin layer of water reflects the sky and the cliffs, which are filled with gorgeous caves. You can also talk to the local turtle reserve and volunteer to assist sea turtles laying eggs in the area at night.
If you prefer organic produce, we’d recommend Organic Sura about 15 minutes away in Uvita —> we used it our entire stay.
If it’s available for booking, this is the spot you want - we would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone. Happy Travels ~

We had such a great time at Rita’s garden! We spent 3 months there and it was absolutely perfect. The way the house is built makes it comfortable for 2 parties - everyone has their own space. The pool was also great!
And, the location is amazing. Not too far from the great restaurants of Ojochal, but far enough to be super calm in the lush jungle.
And, omg Rita and Bill are AMAZING hosts! Such great people.
I 100% recommend this place :)
